Sushi Kai

The restaurant’s interior features a calm ambiance centered around counter seating, with table and horigotatsu (sunken floor) seating available. Private rooms are also located on the second floor. The quality of the seafood, especially seasonal ingredients, is highly praised.

For lunch, their omakase (chef’s selection) is reasonably priced at 2,700 to 3,800 yen, though guests may opt to order individual pieces to suit their preferences. Each piece of sushi is brushed with a touch of sauce, eliminating the need for soy sauce.

Kensaki squid (white squid): Sweet with a tender texture.

Aji (horse mackerel): Fresh, perfectly paired with ginger.

Sweet shrimp: Thick, sweet, and melts in the mouth.

Shima-aji (striped jack): Firm and flavorful.

Maguro (tuna): “Akami” (lean) and “Toro” (fatty) cuts are exquisite and perfectly matured.

Uni (sea urchin) and Ikura (salmon roe): Rich, creamy, and fresh.

Scallops, whelk, and surf clam: Fresh and so delicious that you’ll want more.

Toro-taku roll: The combination of flavorful toro and crunchy sweet pickled radish creates a delightful sushi roll.

Each sushi course is accompanied by miso soup made with a rich prawn-based broth. The skill and attention of the sushi chefs shine through with every bite.

In addition to sushi, the restaurant offers combination courses with appetizers and sushi, allowing diners to enjoy a variety of seasonal ingredients. Notable rice dishes, such as Uni Rice and the restaurant’s signature Kai-style Bibimbap, provide satisfaction beyond sushi.
