Shirotae Patisserie
Established decades ago, it maintains an old-fashioned ambiance that sets it apart from modern dessert shops. The interior is small and cozy, often filled with customers. Despite its popularity, the shop remains humble, with a focus on craftsmanship rather than commercialization. Last time I visited 30 years ago and stay there as good as before.

Shirotae has a strong reputation among locals and visitors for its delicate flavors, high-quality ingredients. The shop is particularly famous for its unique No-bake Cheese cake.
Unlike typical rare cheesecakes, which tend to be soft, creamy and sometime sour, I think Shirotae’s version has a firmer, mousse-like texture that melts in the mouth. The balance of sweetness and tanginess is exquisite, allowing the natural flavors of the cream cheese. It also has a slightly denser consistency compared to standard rare cheesecakes, giving it a rich yet refreshing taste. The simplicity of its presentation, without excessive toppings, highlights its elegant and sophisticated quality.

It also offers a variety of baked goods and seasonal sweets, all crafted with an emphasis on simplicity and elegance.
Madeleine : A classic French butter cake with a soft and moist texture. Very delicate buttery aroma and a light sweetness, perfect for pairing with tea or coffee.
Financier : A small almond-flavored cake with a crisp exterior and a moist, buttery inside. The nutty aroma and rich flavor make it a popular choice among baked goods.
Pound Cake : A simple yet flavorful cake made with butter, sugar, eggs, and flour. Very moist and soft, with variations such as lemon or fruit-infused flavors.
